Welcome

Welcome, readers and thank you for joining. I’d like to offer you some insight on why I chose the name for this blog.

At the top of the “why” list is God. This name, I truly believe, is God inspired. I’d been praying about a name for quite some time. Then one day, I’m at the beach and my mind is off of the everyday and the phrase “in the waiting” kept coming up. I quickly started realizing that we spend most of our lives waiting on something; waiting to grow up, waiting to get out of the house, waiting to get married, waiting for a job promotion or career change, waiting to have kids, waiting for God to provide something, make a way for something or do something in our lives. At first, I’ll be honest, thinking about it made me slightly discouraged. But then I remembered that it’s what we do with this time that really fills our lives. Yes; God blessing us with that “next big thing” (or even little thing) that we’ve been waiting on is huge and is a beautiful reminder of His faithfulness but during the seasons (yes, plural) of waiting we can’t literally sit there and wait. Get out, get up, go and live your life while you wait and you’ll notice that the majority of the blessings are “in the waiting” and often times overlooked. So what are you waiting for and how are you filling your waiting period?

My waiting periods have consisted of health journeys, travel, mom life, self-discovery (on-going) and so much more all of which you can find in this blog.
